DAY 1 :
We certainly started our journey in style, British Airways No 1 First Class Lounge followed by an amazing upgrade on board the flight.
The Luxury & Comfort of British Airways Club World was an incredible experience, served champagne from the moment we embarked and travelled in complete comfort with lots of delights along the way.
Arriving at St Kitts International Airport for my first ever visit to the Island was like a dream come true for me.. and this was about to be the start of one of the most amazing trips of my lifetime.
From the airport we made our way to our first hotel of the trip, The Ocean Terrace Inn.
As we checked into our rooms it was a quick turn around before we were out to enjoy our first evening meal at the stunning Fisherman’s Wharf Waterfront Restaurant which sits on the pier overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
There I sampled the Local Snapper & enjoyed a fabulous evening with beautiful people
DAY 2 -
Wowzer, what a view I awoke to this morning when I stepped out on my balcony at the Ocean Terrace Inn.. I instantly had a great vibe about this hotel, such a warm & friendly feel.. true Caribbean Style. We headed for breakfast with a view whilst eating our fresh fruit, salted mackerel & many more delights served by the beautiful friendly staff at this hotel.
During today I visited another 3 Hotels, The Royal St Kitts, Sugar Bay Club and Timothy Beach.
It was wonderful to look around these hotels & actually get a first class feel of what I am selling to our customers... a fave of mine being the ever so popular Timothy Beach. If you want a very good 3* property in an amazing location, this is the place to be.. I would definitely stay here myself and thank Shelda for her hospitality & kindness during our visit.
So we were then on our way to our Catamaran Cruise with lunch & the opportunity to go snorkelling in the perfect Caribbean Sea.. this was such a fantastic afternoon full of dancing, singing, sunshine, laughter, & my new local fave drink - coconut rum with pineapple juice ( The curried Chicken was gorgeous too ! )
It was then back to our hotel for a quick change before we departed for Salt Plage for pre dinner drinks.. I have seen some fabulous sunsets in places I’ve travelled to before, but nothing like this one. Such a chilled out location, one definitely not to be missed when you visit this beautiful Island.
For our dinner that evening we headed off to Marshall’s, where the food was simply Devine.. again, friendly staff, excellent service and brilliant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
So, as the day came to a close we headed back to meet some friends at The Dock Bar, Frigate Bay and for a walk down the famous strip I’ve heard so many things about.. a fantastic evening that I will remember always.
DAY 3 -
Today it was an early start & after another delicious breakfast we headed off to visit the stunning 5* Luxury Belle Mont Farm Hotel.
Belle Mont Farm - Kittitian Hill features an outdoor pool and fitness centre.
At this Luxury Boutique Resort, we were about to experience a New Kind of Luxury with a Pure Relaxation Spa, Luxurious Farmhouses and Breathtaking Views. A tranquil retreat which I would recommend to anyone wanting 5* Luxury on this Stunning Island
Our next stop on our exciting adventure today was Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, however this visit was cut pretty short after we had some heavy rain
The rain didn’t dampen our spirit! And so off we headed to the next part of our day.. a part of the day I had been very much looking forwards to : a tour of Fairview Great House followed by a cooking demonstration and rum tasting ( I even assisted the chef and would recommend this Caribbean Cooking Class to anyone who is visiting the Island maybe on a Cruise ship and is looking for an excursion a little bit different to the norm! )
What a great afternoon we had.. and after sampling all the different flavours of rum on offer, my favourite being the coconut and the Vanilla, we transferred to the St Kitts Marriott where we were to check in and stay for the next 2 nights
Dinner & drinks tonight was simply Devine at the Rock Lobster
Tune in tomorrow when we are heading to Nevis.
DAY 4 -
One of my favourite days!
We started with breakfast at Sweet & Savoury before a full tour of the St Kitts Marriott.
We then departed for the Amazing Park Hyatt where we had a full tour of this amazing property before a gorgeous lunch courtesy of this stunning hotel.
Following lunch we got the water taxi from Park Hyatt across to Oualie Beach in Nevis.
Nevis is the smaller of the 2 islands comprising the nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. It's known for sandy beaches, including palm-fringed Pinney's Beach and sheltered Oualie Beach.
When we arrived in Nevis I saw some gorgeous familiar faces and were met by the Nevis Tourism Authority for what was about to be the most amazing Island Tour of this beautiful place
We visited many stunning hotels in Nevis, saw some incredible sights and finished our afternoon off at Sunshine’s sampling the local rum punch and the ever famous killer bee !!!
After another amazing day we headed back to St Kitts via water taxi ( only takes 6 minutes ) this evening we had dinner at The Paviion Christopher Harbour and then it was an early night !!!! Must have been the killer bees.
DAY 5 -
Today was our last day ... we started off with breakfast at the Marriott before we headed to the train depo for our scenic train ride
The Scenic Railway experience provides a unique opportunity to circle the Island in approx 2 hours by train. We enjoyed the open-air upper deck area of the train and enjoyed entertainment provided by the St Kitts railway choir, a sugar cake snack and complimentary drinks as we waved back at the children at the local schools.
It was then time to head to Port Zante for a spot of shopping before lunch at El Fredos which was absolutely beautiful !!!
Not long afterwards, we were packed up and heading back to the airport but there was one last treat in store for us...
We had the pleasure of waiting for our flight in the Kayan Jet Lounge which was simply incredible. We sat & chilled in the sun with more delicious food & champagne before our car arrived to take us to the aircraft.
So how would I describe my trip in 3 words?
Anyone that knows me, knows I have waited almost 8 years to visit this stunning Island and I feel so privileged and lucky to have been given this opportunity.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks & appreciation to the Saint Kitts Tourist Board for making this happen & making my dream come true, and to Sharon as well. And to all the people I met along the way - you are all amazing.
It goes without saying that I have 100% fallen in love with Stunning St Kitts and Nevis - this is not goodbye, it is simply - see you soon.
My Top 3 Highlights : Cooking Lesson, Catamaran Trip, Scenic Train Ride.
